So i was going to write this slightly sappy and crazy post about objects losing the power that you gave to them along time ago.

Like how there was this book that at one point in my life I literately attributed to saving my life...and how i pick it up last night and was saddened to find that I could never read it in the same light again, that the magic and power i had placed on it was gone.

It reminded me of this old poem by I think keats or yates about how nothing can be seen for the first time again...you can never really go home again....

Help me choose a new messenger bag (it's my birthday present so i have full reign)

I'm having trouble choosing as if you know me my bag is my life...i always have it and i walk EVERYwhere, with my laptop, notebook, book, ipod extra clothing.... (my current one is dying)

1. i was thinking timbuk2 i like choosing all the colors, the size aspect, and the padded laptop compartment ... plus it is water proof and seems like it wouldnt hurt my shoulders

cons- it doesnt have external compartments for fast cellphone/wallet/ipod reach and might be too bulky for my small frame
- it is twice the price of others
- everyone has them, they are pseudo yuppie hipster and not in the good way

2. Manhattan bag A- I like the look, that it doesnt scream LAPTOP (i dont live in the best neighborhood) and love all the pockets...simple is good (hipster in the good way) and i could bring it to internships (the timbuk2 might be too flashy) is way cheaper and much less bulky. It also would go better with my coat/clothes

cons- not originally made for laptops, but mine should fit...esp. great if fits in that outer pocket
- i wanted the timbuk2 earlier, manhattans are also ubiquitous

3. other manhattan bags - made for laptops, has pockets

cons- maybe too boring, plus it only comes in brown and black...not as fun


4. ANY other ideas, i dont want something too buisnessy or laptop case like

p.s. If the sound is worse than normal blame the breeders who invaded my podcasting space, wils and paradox for making me put down my microphone, and my crappy mic in the first place....sound problems are a result of having to adjust the volume to maxium during editing everytime i talk ;)

p.p.s. So the casts are stereoed when played in itunes and players on the computer, when transfered to the ipod they switch to mono (one of us in each ear) ... if anyone knows how i can fix this, I will worship you for a fucking long time :)

insomnia

I can't sleep...per usual and dont feel like doing anything productive, per usual

so why not post about nothing, maybe i'll make a list...i havent done that in ages

1. I have a lot going on, too much
2. I am apparently supposed to be an event planner, cause I always seem to end up doing it
3. I need to find a box to ship a bottle in...and bubble wrap
4. I need to call my father
5. I need to find doctors records
6. I need to make an appointment
7. I should probably figure out something to do about not sleeping until 5am everynight
8. I really dont want to do any of this
9. I'm working tomorrow at 8:30am (but i'm happy as i havent seen him in ages aka a week)
10. I'm going to vegas on saturday!

12. we recorded a podcast a week ago...i should edit that ;)

You know it's been a crazy week when midterms cheer you up...

i might be a huge dork, but there is something so satisfying and uplifted about finishing a midterm (which I ACED!!!) and walking out of the building to perfect weather, a cloudless blue sky, and idealized college quad loitering. i took the long walk home and soaked it all in (that and all the hotass chicks running in short-shorts and tanktops)

what makes this midterm even more satisfying is the fact that i forgot i even had it until 7pm yesterday...and i didnt have the book. the person i was going to borrow it from didnt answer his phone, so i went to my meeting..drank some vodka...and spent the next 4 hrs franticly running around the city trying to find a copy. which i did. a 30 min drive away at 11pm. i have the best sister ever.

then i recorded a podcast (i know great thing to do when you have 800 pgs to read)

then i read 300 pgs

went to sleep

woke up and read and studied the rest

feels good to kick ass at a really fucking hard exam after that :)

plus i just read this which i find fucking hilarious
